Weekend Collection Co-ordinator (Casual)

Luton Foodbank is seeking a casual Weekend Collection Coordinator. The role involves driving, lifting crates, and engaging with the public.

Main responsibilities

- Arrive at the warehouse in the morning to collect the van, which will be pre-loaded and ready
- Lock and secure the warehouse before leaving for the designated supermarket
- Drive the van to the designated supermarket collection site
- Work closely with volunteers, providing direction, motivation, and support throughout the event
- Engage with members of the public to encourage food and monetary donations
- Use provided marketing materials to promote the Foodbank and raise awareness
- Speak confidently about the role and aims of Luton Foodbank
- Fill crates with donated goods and load them into the van safely
- Return to the warehouse at the end of the collection, unload the crates, and ensure the van is secure and tidy Lock the premises before leaving, ensuring the building is secure
