Can you accept food that’s slightly out of date?

We have to be strict about this, for obvious reasons. Donated items that are past their use-by date will never be used in a food parcel. If you're having a kitchen clear-out, we ask that you only donate items that are at least two months short of their use-by date.

This soup, which we received in May 2019, was already out of date 21 years earlier! Naturally, it went straight in the bin after the photo was taken. Regardless of safety concerns, our clients deserve the same respect which supermarkets give to their customers.
